Interesting piece this morning in the New York Times about the value of learning Latin for every day life.
It’s nice to see this from a non-religious perspective, and reminds me I need to find a way to learn the eternal language myself.

didn’t you go to Steubenville, that bastion of all things Catholic?
What, do you mean to tell me they didn’t teach you Latin there?
I’m shocked!
Shocked, I tell you.
Better than that - I got a BA in theology from there, and didn’t learn Latin. Not required.
This is why I don’t go around claiming to be a theologian.
