Considering Romney? Think Again.
Deal Hudson has a piece today on why he doesn’t trust Mitt Romney, and after reading it I think you’ll agree.
Romney puts forth a strong showing in many respects, and he’s obviously extremely intelligent and articulate. He also practically has “will work for power” scrawled across his forehead. He’s sort of the real live version of a Hollywood President - he looks, sounds and acts the part, and it’s mostly all just for show.
Of course, Romneys flips and flops on important issues are important, but hardly out of character for a Presidential candidate. I can’t imagine how he would be much worse than Bush. My gut feeling is that I could live with him over the other GOP candidates (excluding, of course, Dr. Paul) even though I could never vote for him. I’m more or less signed up for the fact that I will be unhappy with every day of the 2008-2012 Presidential term.
I can’t help but think that this Presidential race is turning into something akin to a Super Bowl where you don’t care about the teams playing. The spectacle is compelling to watch, but you really have no one to root for.

Who deserves our vote? I’ve had similar conversations with friends, and we don’t like Rudy McRomney or Hillary Osama in the least. A good strategy may be to complain loudly and often, and threaten to take our votes elsewhere.
These guys and gal have to realize that there is more to the U.S. than just what goes on in D.C., and that some of us folks are furious.
Ron Paul or bust. He’s not perfect, but he’s my guy.
That is what some of us are thinking.
