Thinking About Voting For Romney Today?

This little radio interview might make you think again. What a condescending jerk.

  • I cannot stand Romney! I hope he goes down in flames today.

  • Don says:

I’m fairly libertarian myself, but despite theoretical indicators about the 1% tax, the fact remains that it is unproven.

The gov. funds plenty of crap, but Romney has a point that it funds some pretty damn important things as well. You can’t simply throw out the current income tax and replace it overnight. There’s too much at stake.

You move to a flat tax at a reasonable rate first, then, if revenue trends actually increase according to the projected expectations, you lower it a few percent, if the same trends continue you lower it a few more, etc. A universal sales tax may not even be necessary.

The all-or-nothing approach may appeal to those looking for “revolution”, but it just turns off the average American.

    Don,

There’s of course room for discussion on what makes sound economic policy. The problem with Romney is his Hubris. The host says it well - the fact that he’s laughing at ideas that other men seriously hold to be valid solutions rather than discussing their merits shows what kind of a man he is.
