This one could backfire and get me nothing, but I thought it would be worth a shot.
My site traffic is up substantially over the past month, and I find Wordpress to be relatively useless in giving me meaningful site statistics. Since a writer like me has to be a self-made brand, as it were, I’m doing a bit of product research on the consumer side.
If you’re reading this, would you be so kind as to post a comment saying where you are and if you’re a first or long-time reader?
If you don’t feel comfortable doing that, you can send me an email at skojec at gmail dot com, or just use the contact field.
If you feel like going into further depth, I’d love to know a little bit about you. Male or female? Age? How you found the site? What other blogs you read?
I think it’s safe to bet there are two types of blog readers - posters and lurkers, and the latter probably fall into the majority. If you don’t want to divulge, no sweat, I just want to find out more about who is reading and what they like.
On a final note, if there’s something you’d like to see more coverage of (or less) please let me know that as well. It’ll give me a chance to work on my customer satisfaction skills.

Arizona here. Off and on again reader, going back a couple of years.
Hi there,
Recently found your blog. Can’t say where I discovered it, but I pretty much had to do a double-take when I found that your blog entries match my own personal blog categories precisely (Catholic faith trending towards the traditional, conservative politics and culture, geeky trends, stupid news, food, etc.). With the obvious difference being that you are a very skilled writer, and you devote much more time to your blog than I.
My Google Reader is currently focused on a mix of religion (Fr. Z obviously because *DUH*, Amy Welborn, The New Liturgical Movement), politics (Ross Douthat, Cobb, various 2nd Amendment blogs), foodie stuff (Serious Eats, a few friends’ Yelp feeds), tech (O’Reilly Radar, Intelligent Enterprise, Ars Technica), college football from my alma mater, various webcomics and lolcats, etc.
28 years old and male.
As for suggestions, your current mix of blogging topics is an exact match for me (it’s kinda scary, as one may feel finding his doppleganger on the internets).
Keep up the great work!
~Scott
Greetings,
Found your blog a while back via Eviltraditionalist link on the Catholiccartoons blog. Reasons being general interest in Catholicism, leaning towards the theological Right.
17 years old, Male.
I’m irish born and Bred and live in South Armagh, (The city of Armagh in the County of Armagh being the Ecclesiastical Capitol of Ireland) never experienced a Latin nor High Mass but with great interest in it. Thouroughly relieved to have never went through the faux masses these blogs seem to be reporting happen in the US.
Interests include, History, Politics, Writing and storytelling, (<3 Storytelling), Strategy games, webcomics, Flash animation and an unhealthy intrest in Rifles.
Female/mid30’s/down South/wife & mom to 3.
I can’t remember how I got here!! But I have been visiting since your blog was Uncovering Orthodoxy.
Blogs I visit are:
Fr Z (although I don’t understand EVERYTHING)
Jimmy Akin
Summorum Pontificum
In Light Of The Law
Catholic and Enjoying IT (sometimes)
Bonfire of the Vanities
Because Its All About Our Kids
And Sometimes Tea
One more thing…I really liked the pic of you, the funny screwed up look that was on the top bar. Too bad it is gone.
First time reader, followed your here from Mr. Culbreath’s blog. I also heard good things about your from Fr. Dupre, FSSP.
Ben - Fr. Dupre is French. You can’t believe a word he says about me!
Steve -
Longtime reader. I found your blog because you found mine first, and posted a comment (and then a link to my blog on your own site).
Will Cubbedge here.
I’ve been reading since the Fall. Well done.

I’ve been reading you for about a year.
I’m old enough, which is to say old enough to be your father, but not too old to kick your assets.
I’m in Washington state (but you knew that). I got here from Jeff Culbreath’s blog. I also hang out and comment at Mark Shea’s CAEI, Chistopher Johnson’s Midwest Conservative Journal, and Taki’s top drawer because they have Dan Larison blogging.
In terms of content, whatever you want to write about. If I’m not interested, I don’t read it.
