This Does Not Bode Well

The Vatican has announced that Islam officially claims more members than the Catholic Church.

You know what that means. Better start cracking on having more kids.

  1. Largely illiterate, inbred and with a life expectancy of about 9 (and I’m not including the suicide bombers) I still don’t think we have anything to worry about.

Warfare is technology and we’ve got them beat.

  2. Leaving nuclear weapons out of the equation … warfare is technology only where there is equal pride (i.e., identification with one’s own) and an equal honor (i.e., willingness to die) and at least a threshold amount of bellicosity (i.e., willingness to kill) … on the first two scores, the Muslims have us beaten, and I doubt the third exists any more in liberal-bourgeois Christendom.

  3. You’re just begging for a Hilary response, you know. One along the lines of “It is estimated that by 2050, 2 in 5 practicing Catholics will be named Culbreath, Price or Skojec.”

On to the point–yes, the birthrate is a problem. But conversions are running our way, big time. Christianity is still growing faster, and it’s via conversion. Islamic religious leaders recognize their clay feet, which is why apostasy is a capital crime. Historically, mass conversions to Islam only come in the aftermath of a Muslim takeover, giving an opportunity incentive. Islamic “evangelism,” so to speak, isn’t a high volume endeavor.

  4. Hey! I take a day off the net and what do I see?

    People stealing my material.
