Update On That Prayer Request

I asked you on Friday for your prayers for a family with a very sick little baby girl. In the mysterious way that God works, I am sure your prayers have helped them to endure the tragedy that has ensued.

I got word this morning that little Cate Cantrell has passed away. I have no details, but I’m sure that any ongoing prayers you could offer for the family would be of immeasurable benefit.

This is hard news to hear, and I’m tremendously saddened by it. May God grant them strength and consolation, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows.

I am so, so sorry. May God be with them all, and welcome little Cate into His arms and the Blessed Mother cover them with her mantle.

  • A very sad and tragic loss. I will pray for the parents.

I do want to mention though that God in His Mercy did not allow this baby to receive a heart transplant. It isn’t well enough known but Catholics are not permitted to receive heart transplants. It is impossible to take a heart for transplant from a dead person. Only a person is alive and essentially killed can become a donor.
